Many of the essays contained in this collection were original published in The Islander including the humorous essay titled My Raccoons. Several of these pieces went on to win regional newspaper awards from the Florida Press Association. Other pieces come from a collection of works the author originally published in a collection called Untitled which was first published in 1973.

For someone interested in the writings of Sanibel author Charles Sobczak, dating all the way back to 1969 through the date of publication, this is a must read title. It is not available as an e-book and as of 2020 there are only a few hundred copies remaining for this particular selected works.
